  • Leadership of workshops on business communications and technical writing

  • Active as writer and editor of history, fiction, poetry, and satire; former volunteer coordinator (2000-2006) of "Kansas Historical Quarterly Online," an initiative aimed at digitizing and publishing over 20,000 pages of text and images from this scholarly journal issued from 1931 to 1977

  • Editor of RAF Wings Over Florida, a book on WW II British and U.S. aviation cadets trained at two bases in southwest Florida, published by Purdue University Press in October 2000
